Damn... Seems like I'm training too often and for too long. Aching ankles, tennis elbow and what not. Gotta Ease up before it's too late.

I'll just take at least a 1 week off and see what happens. Hopefully I'll be back on track in a month.

On a brighter note, I managed to get from one end of the rail I was talking about to the other end and back without falling! Couldn't get a pic as there were too many kids running about though.

I realised the extent to which a part of the body could affect my training today. Today, I went out to train as usual and even from my warm-up I was beginning to feel it.

My warm-up usually comprises quite a number of quadrapedie movements, and I wasn't able to do them today, fearing that I would aggravate my tennis' elbow.

Worked mostly on balance today, squats (~100+ in total) and some precision jumps. And I managed to walk the entire length of the rail for the first time!!! (pic next time) :D

The highlight of the training today was a precision attempt.........And I failed! :(  Missed by ~10cm.

I'll get onto that damn arm-rest by the end of the month!!!!

Managed to complete my 50+1 pistols! Hurray for me! :D
My aim today: To do 50 pistols throughout the day.

It's already 1550 now :x Should have started eralier.

Oh no! Seems like I've gotten a mild case of tennis' elbow. Gotta lay off heavywork on my right arm for the time being.

On the bright side, now would be a great time to start training one arm pushups for my left arm =P

Hi everyone!

Finally decided to create a training journal. It'll will be used to monitor my progress and update anyone who's interested :D

Okay, for today (might be a lil' boring since it's the first post):
Duration: ~3hrs (1500~1800)

I usually start my training here, by walking up the rails, then turning and heading back down. Following that, my warm-up, which includes some light pushups, inclined pullups and sometimes quadrapedie with pushups up the ramp. Joint rotations might look silly, but what the heck. =P

Kicked off today's training with drilling of demitour and lazy vaults. Although I already know how to do the techniques, my foot placement ain't that great. So the focus was more on foot placement before and after the vaults and "flowing". And most importantly, silent landings.

For the demitour, I realised I kinda spin out of control sometimes when I land, so I tweaked my hand placement, weight distribution and foot placement. As Blane says, "Power Is Nothing Without Control". Classic example when I do a demitour. Some may have the same problem, so what helped me were these tips (from videos/tutorials/experimentation):

1. Jump up, not so forward.
2. Keep your core tight after you "pivot".
3. Your weight/centre of gravity should more or less be on your pivoting arm.
4. Look at where you want your feet to go.
5. Keep your elbows close to your body when you're landing.
6. DON'T straighten your arms when in catleap position. (Not too sure about this, think it doesn't strain the joints too much this way)
Here's the place.

Proud to say that I managed to get from one pillar to the other with quadrapedie on the rail. Albeit after a few fails and some swearing. :D

For my conditioning, did 50+1 rather good precisions from behind the drain to the block (picture below). Then, 4x10 pushups and 10+1 plyometric pushups with rests of around 1min between sets. Form was a little compromised in the last few pushups though. :D

Did sloth hang travesing (dunno what you would call it) on a parallel bar for my cooldown. Followed by...Yes! More joint rotations! And some stretching, of course.

Made my way back via the railings (fun-nest part of training), pausing along the way to do some pullups from the roof of the bus stop. XD

Did some 360 underbars and demitour here on the way home. In my opinion, 360 underbars are more efficient for getting to the other side after a catleap, if your main aim is to practise demitours. 'Cause somehow I find that they expend less energy than if you vault the railing.

Managed to conquer my fear and did a relatively good demitour here after my leg kept tapping on the rail a few times. Probably due to my fear more than anything else.
